Situation Update: Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We want everyone to know that we are continuing to provide funeral services to all families during this time of national emergency. Although public gatherings are prohibited, we are able to provide limited services for all families with the rules now set in place. As stated in these rules, only immediate family should be permitted to privately identify, participate in a non-public viewing and / or an abbreviated service at our facility, and witness the final disposition (if the cemetery or crematory permits). We have the ability to live webcast any service held at our funeral home and in fact have been doing this for the past 15 years.  This would allow a limited number of family members to attend the service in person and the general public to watch the service in real time via our website. We understand that though this may not be what we would normally desire, it is an alternative to accommodate the needs for a funeral service during this critical time. We have also instituted procedures to limit personal exposure and contact while making funeral arrangements. Our primary concern is the safety of our staff and community in general.

We are here to help and assist everyone in their time of need. We know that with cooperation, patience and understanding, together we will all get through these difficult and challenging times. Please be safe and remember that everyone is in our prayers.

Thank you for your understanding,

Bob McGirr and the entire CMFH team

We urge you to review this critical information on the CDC website.

Please continue to visit our website to leave electronic condolence messages and view tribute videos.

This is the most up-to-date information that we have. From the very beginning of this situation, Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home and the NFDA have been receiving information from the CDC, Department of Health and Human Services and other agencies about the evolution of COVID-19 in the United States. As we receive new information, we are sharing it with you and will continue to do so as long as necessary.   If you should have any questions or concerns please contact us directly at, 732-462-0101.
