Obituary of Anthony N. Granata

Anthony N. Granata, 80, of Eatontown passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  Tony was born in Patterson and was raised in Clark.  He had lived in Rahway and Brick before moving to Eatontown for the past 42 years.  Tony retired from Prudential in West Long Branch.  In retirement, he worked for Circle Infiniti for 21 years, retiring in 2020.  Tony was a car guy and relished his time in his Jeep Wrangler.  He enjoyed taking cruises with his wife and family.  Always a technology buff, Tony felt accomplished building and trouble shooting computers.  Yet most of all, being a husband, a father, grandfather and uncle meant the most to him.

Tony was predeceased by his sister, Tracy Granata.  He is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Jeanie Granata; son, Jeff Granata and his wife, Jeanette Piancone; four grandchildren, Abigial Granata, Julia Piancone and her fiancĂ©, Robert Solow, A.J. Piancone and his girlfriend, Kelly Byrnes and Chaz Piancone and his wife, Erica; niece, Robyn Patterson and her husband, Kevin; nephews, John Connor and his wife, Jaclyn and Joseph Connor, Jr. and Yvette and a nephew, Timothy Sheehan; great niece and nephews, Ryan, J.J., and Harbor; and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.  Inurnment will be private.  For those who desire, memorial contribution may be made to either American Cancer Society, P.O.
