Obituary of Ian Eric Bagnell

Ian Eric Bagnell, 43, of Toms River passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.  Ian was born in Neptune was raised in Wall, Brielle, and Lakewood.  He lived in Howell, Brick, and Riegelsville, Pa before moving to Toms River in 2015.  Ian attended Howell High School and graduated from Freehold High School.   He had worked for Pathmark in Howell, Shop Rite in Lakewood, and at Burger King in both Howell and Lakewood.  Ian had graduated welding school in Elizabeth and studied Fine Art at Monmouth University in Long Branch.  He was a true Renaissance Man, he loved nature and was a very talented artist. Ian hand painted vintage furniture at a shop at the shore. He created one of a kind cameos entirely by hand.  Ian painted, sketched, and sculpted. He was very well read and collected antique books. Ian studied the Bible.  He was a former member of The Singing Boys of Pennsylvania as a child, and a member of The Royal Rangers in Wall. Ian was baptized at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Wall, and a member of the youth group there as a teenager.

Ian was predeceased by his beloved maternal grandparents, Forest and Mabel Corley of Lakewood, paternal grandparents, the artist, Steven Bagnell and Joyce Bagnell of Numidia, PA; his step grandparents, George and Elmira Berghoff of Wall Township.   He is survived by his daughter, Abigail Berghoff of Howell; mother, Lynne Berghoff and her husband, George of Howell; father, Stephen Bagnell of Pennsylvania; siblings, Zachary Bagnell of Howell, Amy Bagnell of Howell, and Brian Berghoff of Howell; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
