Obituary of Anthony Lauro

Anthony Lauro, 60, of Jackson passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and had lived in Manalapan prior to settling in Jackson. Anthony was a retired union carpenter for Local 255 and a parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Jackson. He was a man of the sea and loved to fish, but mostly he was a devoted husband, loving father, and an adoring grandpa. Anthony is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia Lauro of Jackson; a son, Nicholas Lauro and his wife, Diane of Jackson; a daughter, Lindsay Pizzutiello and her husband, Albert of Howell; two grandchildren, Connor and Ava ; a brother, Salvatore Lauro and his wife, Marianna of Scotch Plains; two sisters, Linda Cangemi of Waretown and Julie Starace of Old Bridge; a brother-in-law, Robert Talamo and his wife, Phyllis of Brooklyn; four nephews and two nieces; and his dear friends, John and Cathy Sciarra of Jackson. Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 8:15 AM for the procession to St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson for his 9:30 AM Funeral Mass. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
