Obituary of Helen Nikitin

Helen Nikitin, of Howell Township passed away at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 20, 2013. Helen was born in South Amboy, raised in Marlboro and had lived throughout Monmouth County until moving to Howell Twp. in 2003. She was a hairdresser and prior to that owned and operated the Bamboo Room Salon, Jackson. Helen was an avid golfer, a world traveler, and loved attending Broadway shows. She will be loved and missed, forever and always. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Peter Nikitin in 1990. She is survived by four sisters, Irene Davis of Manchester, Louise Pekarchik of Marlboro, Bernice Cobb of Lake Como, and Elaine Cobb of Jackson; three nieces, Tina, Melissa, and Cyndi; three nephews, Richard, Alexander, and Philip; three grand nieces, Brittany, Marissa, and Miranda; six grand nephews, Brandon, Shane, Gavin, Jared, Michael, and Marc; her mother-in-law, Marie Nikitin of Howell; five sisters-in-law, Mary McBath of Howell, Olga Weber of Howell, Carol Sullivan of Howell, Helen Roe of Florida and Pat Nikitin of Manchester; a brother-in-law, Max Nikitin, Sr. of Howell; and six nieces, ten nephews, six grand nieces, and five grand nephews. A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 PM with her memorial service to follow at 8:30 PM.
