Obituary of Winifred Coyte

Winifred S. Coyte, 99, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Mrs. Coyte was born in Monmouth County and lived in the Monmouth and Ocean County areas for 85 years before moving to Kansas. Prior to retiring, she was an Investment and Financial Officer for the Township of Wall, as well as a Deputy Clerk for the Borough of Sea Girt. She was a piano teacher for 25 years. She was a 61 year member and a former Trustee of the 1st United Methodist Church of Farmingdale. Mrs. Coyte served on the Administrative Board and worked for many years as a Church secretary, in addition to serving as a delegate in the Church's annual conference. She was a member of the Glendola Grange, P. of H. #168, Monmouth County Pomona Grange #12, and the State Grange. She gave her time to the American Cancer Society Project Research Program as well as the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. Mrs. Coyte was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth L. Coyte in 1980 and two grandsons, Bryan and Kenneth. She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey L. Coyte and his wife, Anjanette of Brick and James K. Coyte and his wife, Kathleen of Overland Park, Kansas; one grandson, Shawn G. Coyte; two granddaughters, Shannon L. Hanson and her husband, Shawn and Shelly Ann Reed and her husband, Steven; one great grandson, Kiley D. Hanson and one great granddaughter, Clementine Hanson. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with her funeral service to follow at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.
