Obituary of Arthur Neilson

Arthur "Artie" Neilson, 60, of Manalapan, NJ passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Arthur was born and raised in New Brunswick before settling in Manalapan. He was a printer for Strategic Content Imaging in Secaucus for seven years. Arthur was also a Hunter Education Instructor for the State of NJ. He was a member of the Division of Fish and Wildlife of New Jersey, the Freehold Fin Fur & Feather Club, and the Somerset Sportsman's Club. Artie was an avid hunter and fisherman, and the official game scorer for the State of NJ. Arthur was predeceased by his parents, Arthur Shaw Neilson in 1964 and Lucy Stepp in 2001; and a sister, Lorraine Schaefer in 1999. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Neilson of Manalapan; two sons, Bryan Neilson and his wife, Cassie of North Brunswick and Justin Bloss of Tinton Falls, NJ; one daughter, Tracy Neilson of North Brunswick; three grandsons, Bryan, Zach and Jake of North Brunswick; a sister, Joan Bordi and her husband, John of Highland, NY; and one brother-in-law, Al Shaefer of Allentown, PA. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, July 1, 2013 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM with his funeral service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent, NJ.
