My memories of John are from our family "get-togethers" during my teenage years. We both shared a love of the ocean, and I found his scuba-diving stories very interesting. Those stories inspired me to one day learn to scuba dive myself- which I do to this day. John was blessed with a warm, welcoming personality, and I always enjoyed the time spent in his company, limited as that time was. I pray that his soul now rests in peace.
