Obituary of Nick Pettincki Jr.

Nick Pettincki, Jr., 88, of Freehold passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Neptune, was raised in Englishtown and had lived in Millstone before settling in Freehold 45 years ago. Nick was a skilled mason and the proud owner of Pettincki Construction. A dedicated Army veteran, Nick enjoyed telling his war stories and sharing his experiences with others. He also had a passion for teaching his grandchildren how to play pool and making improvements to his home. Nick was a member of the Millstone Elks Lodge 2613 and was an avid bowler. He loved watching game shows and sports, especially cheering on his favorite team, the Mets. Nick will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Nick was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Diamond Pettincki; and siblings, James Pettincki, Mary Zampella and Josie DeGuzman. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Pettincki of Freehold; four children, Toni Pettincki of Millstone, Daniel Somers, Jr of New York, Gwendolyn Somers of Jackson and Tammy Blancato and her husband, Tony of Newtown PA; five grandchildren, Fawn, Kandace, Kayla, Luc, and TJ; one great grandson, Owen; sister, Antoinette McChesney and her husband, Mickey; and two faithful canine companions, Roxy and Foxy.

A visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from to 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Interment will take place at Brigadier General William C.
