Obituary of Po Chu Moi

Po Chu Moi, 90, of Freehold Township passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.  Ms. Moi was born in Taishan Guangdong, China and lived in Hong Kong before coming to the United States in 1972 settling in Chinatown in lower Manhattan.  She moved to Queens and lived there until moving here in 1982.  Ms. Moi was a seamstress for the I.L.G.W.U. in NYC until her retirement.  As a woman of Christian faith, she was a member of the Monmouth Community Christian Church, Middletown.  Ms. Moi enjoyed the game of Mahjong and relished her time spent with family and friends.

Ms. Moi was predeceased by her husband, Cheung Ngar Yuen; her daughter, Lina Mone; and her brother-in-law, Kong Chau.  She is survived by her children, Stella Yuen and her husband, Harry Ng of Bayside, NY, Kam Chan and her husband, Henry of Freehold, Lai Ching Lau and her husband, Anthony of Freehold, Mei Fong Moy and her husband, Vincent of Staten Island, Laina Eng and her husband, Edward of Staten Island, Richard Yuen and his wife, Jaimee of Old Bridge, and Wayne Yuen and his wife, Cathy of Freehold.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, November 4, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, Freehold.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
