Obituary of Charles E. Johansen

Charles E. Johansen, 80, of Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Llanfair Care & Rehabilitation Center, Wayne, NJ. He was born and raised in Brooklyn and later lived in Staten Island and Pennsylvania. Charles was a Baker at J & C Bakery in Brooklyn, where he lived above the shop, and had a passion for motorcycles and his corvette. He was deeply committed to his faith and found great comfort in his Bible.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles M. and Angelina Johansen; and brother-in-law, John D. Vega. Charles is survived by his sister, Jane Vega; nieces and nephew, Donna Pollio and her husband, Stephen, Diana Marino and her husband, Charles, Christopher Vega and his wife, Cheryl, and Dina Spiess and her husband, Christopher; and many Great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
