Obituary of Anne Mazzara
Anne Mazzara, 77, of Manalapan passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Brooklyn, raised in West Babylon, and moved back to Brooklyn before settling here in 1984. Anne worked as a schoolteacher and later as a manager for the United States Postal Service in Hamilton until her retirement. A devout Catholic and daily Sunday Mass goer, she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Englishtown. Anne loved traveling, always by car. More than anything, she treasured her role as “Nonna”.
She was predeceased by her sister, Marie Guglielmino; and her grandson, Antonino Mazzara. Anne is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Antonino Mazzara; son, Isidoro Mazzara and his wife, Jodi of Freehold; daughter, Maria Mann and her husband, William of Port Jervis; grandchildren, Dominick Mazzara, Vincent Mazzara, Daniella Mazzara, Annemarie Marroon, and her husband, Killian and Lawrence E. Leonard, Jr.; great grandchildren, Killian, Jr. and Louessa; and her sister, Theresa Croce.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Our Lady of Mercy, 58 Main Street, Englishtown. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, County Route 520, Marlboro.
