Obituary of Joseph James Lipari

Joseph James Lipari, 80, of Freehold passed away at Ocean Medical Center,  on Friday, October 11, 2024. He was born and raised in the Sheepshead Bay Section of Brooklyn and had lived in Howell before settling in Freehold in 2017. Known affectionately as Big Joe, Joe was the owner of Marbelite Company Incorporated, a business he took pride in running for over 60 years. He started working at the company in 1964 and eventually purchased it in 1978, dedicating himself to providing for his family and ensuring the success of the business until his last days. He enjoyed golfing and was a member at Jumping Brook, Neptune. He loved his trips to Atlantic City and had a passion for playing craps, with his favorite bet being Horn High Yo. Joseph was a raconteur and was always quick with a joke. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his family and friends.

Joe is predeceased by his wife, Barbara Lipari. He is survivied by his three children, Melissa Verdoni and her husband, David of Brick, Jeremy Lipari and his wife, Jenny of Brick and David Lipari and his wife, Shannon of Lincroft; 6 grandchildren, Tyler Verdoni and his wife, Melanie, Ryder Verdoni, Spencer Verdoni, Madison Lipari, Colin Lipari and Hannah Lipari.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, October 16 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
