Obituary of Carole M. Bligh

Carole M. Bligh, 81, of Howell, NJ passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She was born and raised in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident of Howell. 

Carole’s family and friends describe her as an Angel on Earth who was genuinely selfless, kind, and caring to everyone who was blessed to know her. She dedicated her life to her family - her children and grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy. She never hesitated to help those in need during difficult times, even people she hardly knew. Carole was an exceptional listener and offered empathy and understanding to anyone that needed to share their struggles.

Carole took so much pleasure in making holidays and joyous occasions special and memorable. Whether it was finding the perfect card or gift, baking her traditional holiday desserts or spending countless hours decorating her beloved home for each holiday, she worked tirelessly on every detail to bring joy and excitement to others, especially children.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward P. Bligh; and son, Brian Bligh. Carole is survived by her daughters, Sharon Bligh-Farrell and her husband, Dennis, and Kathleen Coppins and her husband, Michael; grandchildren, Patrick Farrell and his wife, Chelsea, Kelly Farrell and their partner, Alicia Hoffman, Nicole Coppins, and Lauren Coppins; siblings, Dolores Kurc and Karen Huebsch; and niece and goddaughter, Debbie Kurc.

All arrangements are private and under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
