Obituary of Jean Horner

Jean M. Horner, 83, of Howell passed away at her lifelong home surrounded by her children on Friday, April 5, 2013. Jean was born in Lakewood and was a lifelong Howell resident. She had worked for New Jersey Bell before becoming a Medical Assistant at Ocean Urology in Lakewood until her retirement in 2004. Jean was a lifelong member and served as an Elder and a Sunday school teacher and belonged to the quilting group at Hope Presbyterian Church in Lakewood. She was the daughter of Charles and Minnie Mick. Jean is survived by two sons, John A. "Tripp" Horner III and his wife, Trudi of Toms River and Charlie K. Horner and his wife, Leslie of Howell; two daughters, Jeanine E. Raccuglia and her husband, Mauro of Howell and Jacquie Revier and her husband, Mike of Howell ; eleven grandchildren, Heather Whitonis, Amanda Snyder, Matt Horner, Jacqlyn Horner, Doug Horner, Mario Raccuglia, Joseph Raccuglia, Michael Revier, Jean Revier, Kaitlyn Revier and Joseph Revier; three great grandchildren, Marissa Whitonis, Emma and Grace Snyder; and her faithful canine companion, Minnie. Jean was adored by her family and will always be remembered by her beautiful smile, gentle kindness and uplifting spirit. A receiving of friends will be held at the Hope Presbyterian Church, 617 Hope Chapel Road, Lakewood on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with her memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Barbara Hicks officiating. The arrangements are under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jean's memory may be made to Hope Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 617 Hope Chapel Road, Lakewood 08701.
