Barbara Lipari

Obituary of Barbara Lipari

Barbara Lipari, 79, of Freehold Township passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Centra State Medical Center. She was born in Middle Village, Queens, raised in Brooklyn, and lived in Howell before moving to The Enclave, Freehold in 2017.  Barbara was a dedicated Catholic and donated much of her time and care to the church. She was a former parishioner of St. Veronica Catholic Church and currently at St. Catherine of Siena in Farmingdale.  At St. Catherine’s, Barbara served as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Homebound Ministry, the St. Vincent DePaul Society, and the Rosary Altar Society.  Barbara could be found ringing the bells at Christmas in church and was involved with Pierce Memorial Presbyterian Church.  She was a member of Why Catholic and volunteered at the Joshua House in Farmingdale.   Barbara loved her collection of angels, which could be found all around the house, and enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles.  With a passion for the Christmas season, she loved to decorate anything that sat still for five seconds and could be found watching her favorite Hallmark Christmas movies.  Barbara was an accomplished cook and operated the catering company, Appetizers and Desserts Unlimited.  Not known to be a traveler, she relished her trip to Scotland and Ireland.  Yet none of these things compared to the love Barbara had for her family.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joseph Lipari; daughter, Melissa Verdoni and her husband, David of Brick; sons, Jeremy Lipari and his wife, Jenny of Brick, and David Lipari and his wife, Shannon of Lincroft; grandchildren, Tyler Verdoni and his wife Melanie, Ryder Verdoni, Spencer Verdoni, Madison Lipari, Colin Lipari, and Hannah Lipari.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.  Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 9:30 AM for the procession to her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale. Entombment will be at the convenience of the family at St. Anne Cemetery and Mausoleum, Wall Township.  For those who desire, donations in Barbara’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2310 Route 34, Suite 1D, Manasquan, NJ 08736 or HERE.
