Obituary of Henry G. Zimmerman Sr.

Henry Zimmerman, 86, of Jackson passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023. He was

born and raised in Woodbridge and settled in Old Bridge where he and his loving wife of 65

years raised their family. Henry was the most devoted husband, father, grandfather and great

grandfather. His pride and joy were found in his family.

Henry was predeceased by his wife Caroline (Wyckoff) Zimmerman and parents; Helen and

Eugene Zimmerman, siblings; Mary, Helen, August (Johnny), Eugene (Zeke), Arthur (Dolly), and

Frankie. He is survived by his four children, Helen and her husband, Anthony Marra III of Manalapan,

Mabel and her husband, John Lucas Sr. of Freehold, Henry Zimmerman Jr. of Jackson and Carrie and her

husband, Michael Murray Sr. of Howell; twelve grandchildren; Nicole and her husband, Dominick Basile

Sr., Amy and her husband, William Blanchfield, Courtney Marra, Anthony Marra IV, Caroline and her husband, Jonathan Spages, Theresa and her husband, David Chesley, John Lucas Jr., Thomas Lucas,

Michael Murray Jr., Sofia Murray, Alexa Murray and McKenna Murray, as well as Nine great

grandchildren; Juliana, Jessie and Dominick Jr. (Basile), Liam and Elizabeth (Blanchfield),

Cameron, Natalie and Olivia (Spages), and David Jr. (Chesley). He is also survived by siblings,

Anna Abate, Clara Zimmerman, Charles Zimmerman. All whom loved him dearly and will

forever feel his loss.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28^th at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman

Catholic Church, 333 NJ-18, Old Bridge from 9:15 to 10:15 AM with Funeral Mass to

immediately follow. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge Township. All

arrangements are under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold

Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Henry’s name may be made to the

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia- CHOP Foundation, 3401 Civic Center Boulevard,
