Condolences
My condolences to Kathi’s family. She was a friend for the 3 years at WHS. We also shared a common heritage, that been Hungárián. She was also a kind hearted spirit…….
Dear family and friends of Kathi, I had not seen Kathi in several years but we were all very known to each other at the Zen Sangha under the late Roshi Merle Kodo Boyd whom Kathi cared very much for. Kathi was very friendly towards me and gave of herself to me and all of us in the sangha.I did not know she had been a hospice nurse.I know she touched many people and I can only imagine how compassionate she was towards those patients and all of her loved ones who relied on her. The Tibetian Buddhist mantra "Om mani padme hum" refers to essentially "The jewel is in the lotus" and, certainly Kathi was a jewel to all of us, and I will think of her whenever I recite this mantra. My condolences to her husband, children, and friends who will miss her.She remains in our hearts, minds, and thoughts.
To the family of Kathi-I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Kathi was a special person and a special nurse. I remember when I first started at Barnabas hospice, she was very welcoming and kind. She was such a vibrant person and a kind soul. She cared about everyone. I hope happy memories of Kathi bring you some comfort as you go through this difficult time.
Kathi was my friend at St Barnabas Hospice. She worked alongside me on some very difficult cases and was someone I knew I could trust and rely upon. I was a social worker on the unit, as well as for the home hospice patients. After we both left hospice, we tried to keep in touch, but time would pass between contacts. I will always remember her support when we had the thankless task of selling wreaths for Boy Scouts, and she went out of her way to support the troop. She was a true light in this world. Her appreciation of nature is something that always stood out to others. Thinking of all of you, Colleen Beach
