Obituary of Elizabeth Norcross Janis

Elizabeth A. Janis, of Medford, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013. Born Elizabeth Allen on August 22, 1918 in Spring Lake, NJ to Elizabeth and Alanson Allen, of Farmingdale. She was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the WAC during World War II. Elizabeth worked for the Medford school district and was owner of two blueberry farms. She was an active member of the Medford United Methodist Church serving with the Busy Bees. Elizabeth is predeceased by her parents, her brother Dick, sisters Nettie, Dorothy and Marion, husbands Harry Bullock Norcross and Thomas Janis and daughter Brenda Mary Wright. Elizabeth is survived by her son Harry Brett Norcross, of Auburn, NY, grandchildren Tristan Norcross and Kyle Norcross of Auburn, NY and Crystal Marano of Canada (fiancee Remy Auclair), Tiffini Patterson of Vermont (wife Lori Patterson), and a son in law Scott D. Wright of Maple Shade, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation at the Medford United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Road, Medford on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Rev. Vivian L. Rodeffer officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale. Friends and family are invited for a memorial gathering at Medford United Methodist Church at 5:30 PM. Please bring a dish to pass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Libby may be made to either, USagainstalzheimers.org, or the Medford United Methodist Church.
