Obituary of Donajean Mount Petach

Donajean Mount Petach of Freehold, New Jersey
December 3rd 1947 - November 6th 2022

A celebration of Life will be held at 2pm to Sunset Sunday, November 13th, 2022 at The Manasquan Reservoir Visitor Center 311 Windeler Road, Howell NJ 07731.

Donajean was born December 3, 1947 in Navesink, NJ to the late Russell Mount Jr. and Pauline Morgan Baker.

Donajean will be remembered by all of the selfless, heartfelt things she did. Unselfish devotion to her daughters and her family always. Whether it was taking her, always elegant style, shirt off her back or gold necklace off her neck to give to her Daughters & Sisters-in-law or volunteering at the Senior Home performing and teaching piano. She was at every soccer game, cheer practice, gymnastics meet and snowboarding competition she could be at and when she wasn't, her notorious work ethic set the bar for her daughters. She started with the US Postal Service hand delivering mail to owning Rapunzel's Wig Shop of Red Bank. She was the Finance Manager at Freehold Chrysler and sold Yamaha, Kawai & Steinway Pianos at Freehold Music to the likes of NFL players, Bruce Springsteen and the Hoff. She always had a Baby Grand and Upright Piano in her home. She played piano so dreamy and melodically by ear. Stephen Sondheim's Send in the clowns and Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy are some of the most beautiful pieces we loved hearing her play. She lived for her daughters with selfless devotion and did anything and everything she could for us. To her grandchildren, she is Nana an ode to her Nana Colleen McDevitt Maxson whom she loved dearly just as we love you Nana to infinity from the bottom of our hearts.

Donajean is survived by her Daughter Dionne Petach Muckle & Simon Muckle with Grandson Jack. Her Daughter Danielle Petach Jones and James Tuder with Grandson Waylön Petach Jones. Her daughter Kimberly & Chris Raprich, Granddaughter Tiffany and Michael Parrish with Great Grandson's Ethan and Abel. Grandson Brett and Maggie Raprich with Great Grandson's Cutter and Rip Raprich.  Her Brother Russell Mount III & Jean Mount with Niece Anna and her Sister Nancy Mount Anderson & Buster Anderson along with her Nieces and Nephews Shadow & Lara Moyer, Ryan Moyer, Elizabeth Moyer Burns & Brett Burns, Stephanie Anderson Hall & Chad Hall with 6 Grand Nephews and Nieces. Her Cousin Cynthia Blomgren Popolillo and Tony Popolillo and Cindy's family Daughter Melissa Popolillo Feldman & Larry Feldman with son Miles. Her extended Family the Petach's and the Deibold's, Sisters and Brothers-in-Law, Nieces and Nephews and Grand Nieces and Nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her Sister Judith Colleen Mount and her daughter Dana Lynn Mount.

Donajean adored rescuing animals. Samoyeds, Maine Coons & Siamese especially and she loved her black coffee and Saratogas. Those desiring to send a memorial, can donate to the Epilepsy Foundation: Epilepsy.com, to the Monmouth County ASPCA https://monmouthcountyspca.org or buy a cup of coffee for someone you love in our Mom, Nana, Donajean's honor.
