Obituary of Michael Cassella

Michael Cassella, 40, of Howell passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022. He was born in Astoria, New York. Michael enjoyed cars, hockey, and sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Mets. In his younger years he played on the Howell Hockey Leagues and more recently immersed in the Stock Market. Michael was the greatest kid in the world and treasured his cat Simba dearly. He was loved by all who met him and will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was predeceased by his mother, Wendy Rizzo. Michael is survived by his grandfather, Joseph Rizzo; aunt and uncle, Donna and Gary McNichol; cousin, Austin and Jady and their daughter, Skyla; and uncle, Matthew Gershman.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM with his funeral service to follow. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Cemetery, US Highway 1, Woodbridge.
