Obituary of Thomas Glunk

Thomas A. Glunk, 57, of Freehold Township passed away at his residence on Thursday, January 10, 2013. Thomas was born in Newark and had lived in Union for 15 years before moving to Freehold Township 21 years ago. He was currently a Turbo Oil Specialist for BP, Bayway Refinery in Linden for 31 years. Thomas was a devoted volunteer for No Kill P.A.W.S. Shelter in Bryson, City, NC. He was a member of the Golf Club of New Jersey. And an avid Yankees, Rangers and Giants fan. Thomas is survived by his wife, Joan Kilgannon Glunk of Freehold Township; his mother, Mary Glunk of Bridgewater; three sisters, Maryann Hogarty and her husband, Dan of Green Brook, Patricia Halicki and her husband, Mark of Green Brook and Cecelia Petela and her husband, John of Clark; eight nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Kevin Kilgannon and his wife Tamsin of Lebanon Township; a sister-in-law, Ellen Kilgannon and her partner, Debi Allen; his godmother, Rita Boan of Dingmans Ferry, PA; and his four fur friends, Sweet Pea, Daisy, Woody and Grayson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM Memorial Mass on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. Agnes Church, 332 Madison Hill Road, Clark. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM at Valentino's Restaurant, 4241 Route 9 North, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Thomas's memory may be made to P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 1814, Bryson City, NC 28713.
