Obituary of Arthur L. Berman

Arthur L. Berman, 94, of Wall passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick.  He was born in Brooklyn, and had lived in the Bronx, NY, Harrington Park, Haworth, Bayhead and Mantoloking before settling here in 2015.  Arthur served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and then attained his Bachelor’s degree from City College of New York.  He was the President and founding partner of Bertek, Inc., a company that manufactured pressure sensitive labels, laminates and pharmaceutical applications including transdermal patches.  Mr. Berman also served on the Haworth Town Council as Board President, police commissioner and ambulance liaison.  He enjoyed trips to Atlantic City to play poker.   

Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Donna Berman; four sons, Edward Berman and his wife, Randie of Long Branch, Bruce Berman and his wife, Deborah of Chevy Chase, MD, Daniel Berman and his wife, Susan of White Plains, NY, and Jonathan Berman and his wife, Laura of Westfield; brother, Richard Berman and his wife, Naomi of Commack, Long Island; ten grandchildren, Jacob, Sophie, Sara, Eli, Joanna Shapiro, Nancy Carey, Michael, Clara, Nathaniel and William; and three great grandchildren, Lane Shapiro, Phoebi Shapiro and Jenna Carey.
