Obituary of Angel Luis Arenas Figueroa

Angel Luis Arenas Figueroa, 69, of Freehold Township passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at CentraState Medical Center.  Angel was born and raised in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.  He had lived throughout the United States and most recently lived in Perth Amboy before settling in Freehold Township in 2010.  Angel proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1974 to 1976 and then in the United States Army Reserves until 2012.  He worked for Navicore Solutions in Manalapan for 10 years until retiring.  Angel enjoyed his trips to Atlantic City and was a lifelong fan and supporter of the Cowboys.  He relished in his time watching birds go and come from his bird house.  Yet most of all, Angel loved spending time with family and friends.

Angel is survived by his fiancée, Cindy Trebotica; children, Angel Luis Arenas Nieves and his wife, Alexandra of Massachusetts and Dr. C. Lymari Arenas Nieves and her husband, Carlos Comas Horta of Florida; three grandchildren, Carlos Angel Comas Arenas, CelyMar Comas Arenas, and Christian Miguel Comas Arenas; stepchildren, Brad Trebotica of Freehold and Courtney Kleschinsky of Freehold; three step-grandchildren, Ava, Nicholas, and Emily; and two brothers, Santiago and Jorge.

A memorial service will be held at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown, NJ 08562 on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 1:30 PM             (Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the service).  Arrangements by Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, NJ 07728.  For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
