Phyllis Blanco, 93, of Freehold Township passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Applewood Estates. She was born in Brooklyn and lived there until she settled in Freehold Township in 1990. Phyllis worked as a fitter checker for Alexander's of Brooklyn after graduating from a High School as a Seamstress. She was a member of the Brooklyn Women's Auxiliary Veterans Association. Phyllis enjoyed playing games of cards and bingo and always kept the games lighthearted, especially when she was winning. She was honest to a fault, and everyone always knew where they stood with her. Her honesty paired well with her sense of humor, and this gave Phyllis the ability to guide her family and friends well while making them happy at the same time.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Danny; her sister, Ann DiMeglio; and her daughter-in-law, Jeannine. Phyllis is survived by her sons, Alfred Blanco of New Brunswick, Salvatore Blanco and his wife, Debbie of California, and Gene Blanco and his wife, Cathy of Freehold Township; her six grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon with her funeral service to follow.
