Obituary of Michael A. Vaccaro

Michael A. Vaccaro, 66, of Neptune City passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 with his family by his side.  Michael was born and raised in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, NY. He and his wife moved to Freehold in 1984 to raise their children and settled in Neptune City in 2017.  He enjoyed a successful career as a project manager. Michael was an avid golfer and a sports fan who loved the Giants and Yankees.  He was an excellent cook and loved spending time in the kitchen making food for those he loved.  Michael loved to travel with his wife. His greatest joy was spending time with family – his wife, children, and grandchildren, all of whom he cherished.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Lucy Vaccaro; and his brother, John J. Vaccaro.    He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Simonne Vaccaro; three children, Joseph Vaccaro and his wife, Theresa of Freehold, Valeen Vaccaro and her wife, Inessa of East Windsor, and Michael Vaccaro and his wife, Katherine of Hillsborough; six grandchildren, Gianna, Anthony, Lucia, Kaius, Maxton, and Lillian; brother, Joseph Vaccaro and his wife, Linda of Freehold; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 PM.  At the request of the family, please wear a mask. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
