Obituary of Steven Soto
Steven Soto, 48, of Freehold Township passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Steven was born and raised in Paterson, NJ and had lived in Old Bridge before settling here in 2008. A talented pianist, he attended Rosa L. Parks Arts High School in Paterson. Steven continued his education at Montclair State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree majoring in psychology, and was a Founding Brother of Lambda Theta Phi, Latin Fraternity, Inc. (Kappa Chapter). He worked in finance for many years, most recently as a Financial Advisor for Investors Bank throughout Monmouth County. Prior to working in finance, Steven was a former business owner of Minuteman Press, a printing franchise. He generously donated his time providing community service alongside his family, including beach clean-ups and also coached softball for Freehold Township Little League. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, playing poker and watching his beloved NY Yankees. Steven was also a very active dad in his younger daughter’s life with softball from practicing pitching at home to attending all her tournaments and games. Steven valued humor, education, and always encouraged others to make the world a better place.
