Jeffery Kramer

Obituary of Jeffery Jay Kramer

Jeffery “Jeff” Jay Kramer, 66, of Howell passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  He was born and raised in Queens and had lived in East Brunswick before settling in Howell in 2000.  After studying at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Jeff got his start in the food industry working as a food broker alongside his father at Timpson, Kramer and Crane.  In 1988, Jeff opened his own business, J & S Food Brokerage in Edison.  He worked as president of the company until 2016.  His work as a food broker was his true passion. In his free time, Jeff enjoyed attending concerts, especially when it was Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones or The Who.  He was an avid New York Yankees fan and also followed The Knicks and The Jets. He loved traveling with his family and had been to Hawaii and Europe. Business trips frequently led him to Northern California, a destination he thoroughly enjoyed. Jeff was an extremely generous person with a great sense of humor.  Most of all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Jeff was predeceased by his parents, Morris and Mary Kramer. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jodeen “Jodi” Kramer; two sons, Josh Kramer and his wife, Jessica of Marlboro, and Jakob Kramer of Underwood, Minnesota; grandchildren, Juliana and Jordan; and brother, Ronnie Kramer and his wife, Harriet of Somers, New York. He will also be greatly missed by many friends, cousins, and his canine companion Jax.

All arrangements are private and under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Jeff’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
