Anthony M. Morro, 84, of Howell, beloved husband of Jane Shapiro Morro passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, December 14, 2020. He was born and raised in Guttenberg, NJ; the son of the late Thomas and Raphaela Morro. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1958 and graduated from St. Peter’s College in 1966. He was a member of the Palisades Ski Club and rented houses at the Jersey Shore with friends in the summers.  Anthony moved to Middletown with Jane in 1973 to raise their family and then to the Equestra Community, Howell in 2009.  He retired as the Chief Financial Officer of Kingswood Growth Fund, Jersey City after thirty years of dedicated service.  A devout Catholic, Anthony was a parishioner and member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Farmingdale.  He was parishioner of the Parish of St. Mary’s, Middletown and volunteered at their fair every year and was an original member of the Perpetual Adoration Society. Anthony loved taking walks and riding his classic Schwinn bicycle around the neighborhood. He enjoyed playing cards, pickle ball, and watching races at Monmouth Park. He was a member of the Equestra Train Club and an officer in the NJ Association of Public Accountants. Anthony was dedicated and loyal and had many lifelong friendships. He was a devoted and loving husband for 50 years, a proud father and a role model to his children. His greatest joy came from being ‘Pop-Pop’ and spending time with his grandchildren.
