Obituary of Edwin O. Lim

Edwin O. Lim, 59, of Staten Island passed away with his loving family at his side on Monday, October 12, 2020.  Born in the Philippines, he came to the United States at the age of 7 settling in Flushing, Queens, and later moving to Staten Island then Howell, NJ where he raised his family.  Edwin worked as a mechanic for the NYPD for over 25 years and retired with the title of supervisor of mechanics.  A gearhead, he had a collection of Mini Coopers, classic import cars and radio controlled vehicles. In his spare time, he enjoyed making Filipino cuisine. Edwin was a kind and giving man and loved nothing more than spending time with his family and extended family. 

Edwin is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Kathryn Lim of Howell; daughter, Kori Anne Lim and son, Edwin R. Lim, both of Howell; parents, Rogelio and Lilia Lim of Staten Island; sister, Liezyl Beltran and her husband, Buddy of Staten Island; and two nieces, Alyssa Beltran and Leah Beltran, both of Staten Island.
