Anna M. Flaherty (née, Morelli), 88, of Farmingdale passed away peacefully on October 9, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Anna was born, raised and had lived in Jersey City before raising her family in Howell and then moving to Farmingdale in 1988. She was a homemaker her whole life, focusing on raising and caring for her family. Anna was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena and a devout Catholic.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert D. Flaherty; sister, Marie Cassell; brothers, Alfred “Sonny” and Joseph Morelli; and daughter-in-law, Debra Flaherty. Anna leaves behind her sons, David G. Flaherty and his wife, Michelle and Gary R. Flaherty; daughter, Robin Chapurtinov and her husband, Joey; four grandchildren who she adored, Christine, Brandon, Courtney, and Meghan; two brothers, Vincent Morelli and Peter Morelli; sister, Ellen DiGilio; and many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, the family requested that all services were private, and entombment took place in St. Catharine Cemetery, Sea Girt. Services are under the direction of Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
