Obituary of Stephen D. Weidman

Stephen D. Weidman, 62, of Freehold Township passed away suddenly at home on Friday, May 22, 2020. He was born in Lancaster, PA to Albert and Theresa Weidman and raised in East Petersburg, PA. Steve had lived in New Concord, Kettering, and Cambridge, Ohio before settling to Freehold in 1992. He attended and graduated from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he received his bachelor’s degree. Steve started his career at NCR as a Cost Accountant in Ohio and worked his way up to a Division Controller in New Jersey. He then worked for the Ronin International Corporation in Princeton, New Jersey. Most recently, Steve worked as a Controller and Human Resources liaison for Carteret Die Casting Company in Franklin Township. He had a passion for reading, and was a true history buff, especially the events of the Civil War. Steve was a diehard fan of “The Boss”, Bruce Springsteen, seeing him in concert many times. He loved the beach, and especially enjoyed jumping through the waves of the ocean while taking yearly family trips to Ocean City, NJ. Steve was an avid sports fan, rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, and Penn State Nittany Lions. Those who knew him best appreciated his sense of humor and general good nature.  Above all, he was a devoted family man who was passionate about the quality time he spent with his family members.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Donna Hershey. Steve is survived by his adoring wife of 40 years, Dorothy Weidman; two sons, Tim Weidman of Herndon, VA and Michael Weidman of Freehold, NJ; three siblings, Thomas Weidman and his wife, Rita of Hartford, CT, William Weidman and his wife, Doreen of Weare, NH, and Beth Watson of Milford, NJ; and many loving nieces and nephews.
