Obituary of John Patrick Flanders

John Patrick Flanders, 18, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in Delray Beach, FL.  He was a graduate of the Colts Neck High School Class of 2019.  John was a Life Scout with Freehold Boy Scout Troop 150 as well as a member of the BSA Order of the Arrow Honor Society. He practiced Tae Kwon Do and had earned his High Blue Belt, he was also a talented guitarist.  Loved by many, John will be greatly missed, but will continue to stay with all who loved him through memories. 

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Ready; and his paternal grandparents, James and Rose Flanders.  John leaves behind his heartbroken family… his mother, Caroline Flanders of Freehold; his father, Kevin Flanders of Delray Beach, FL; sisters, Kelly Flanders of Delray Beach, FL and Jackie Flanders of Freehold; grandmother, Marie Ready; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale on Saturday, March 7, 2020.  Interment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, 549 Route 520, Marlboro.
