Condolences
Dear Levinson Family, I just heard the tragic news, and I wanted to extend my condolences to your family during this difficult time. I remember Eric (and Shawn) from high school track; he was always a tremendous competitor and a really great guy. He will surely be missed by everyone who knew him. Sincerely, Lindsey Gallo
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Levinson and Shawn, We are so sorry for your loss. We will always cherish the memories of such fun-filled times with Eric. Until I met Eric, I could only go by the stories Ken would tell me about this energetic, happy young guy that he really enjoyed working with at Ocean. I heard about the pranks they used to pull on one another at school. For example, Eric would put the hot Sirius Radio on the back of Ken's neck when he was sitting at his desk and Ken would stick a peeled banana in Eric's ear. They both would get annoyed, but they continued to do it. After meeting Eric out one night, a few years ago, I could see why they became so close. Eric was so outgoing, friendly and caring. He always called me "Beautiful," which of course I liked. Also, we always knew if Eric was with us, we would always have a great time. On our vacation 2 years ago, he met us for the day windsurfing. He really didn't want to take a lesson, but he did anyway because he always heard from Ken how great it was. He really did well at it, for his first time. Our vacation last year would not have been as good, without him. Whether it was playing Frisbee on the beach, Eric and I taking over the pool doing flips and playing on other people's tubes and rafts when we weren't even staying at the resort, listening, singing and laughing along to "Afternoon Delight" on his Ipod, Ken and Eric wrestling in the Gulf and in our hotel room, shopping to find that black Hurley hat that he always wore (to replace the one that he thought he lost, but he later found and gave to Ken) or just talking philosophically; we truly enjoyed and valued this time with him. It was awesome to get to meet you and Eric's grandparents and share breakfast with you all, too. We will miss him greatly. We wish you all the strength to get through this painful time. Love, Ken and Eileen Hoff
Mrs & Mrs. Levinson, Shawn my deepest sympathies go out to your entire family. We will all miss, but never forget our time spent with Eric. I will never forget the endless conversations, laughs and overall good times I had with him. The time i spent with Eric will never be forgotten and always be cherished. He will be miss by everyone who was fortunate enough to meet him.
Eric taught my children, Frank and Alison Varra, at Mercer Arts Charter High School. They speak very fondly of Mr. Levinson and of how kind he was. We were shocked to hear of Eric's passing and are so very sorry for your loss.
Eric was one of the guys who helped mold me into who I am now. I'm glad to have been able to know him, at least a little bit. I send my heart and feelings to Shawn and his parents, because I know that these times must be the hardest for them to come through. Eric will undoubtedly be missed. God Bless.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Levinson and Shawn, I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Lana
Our two sons grew up with Shawn and Eric and I had the pleasure of coaching Eric in Little League baseball. Eric and Gary had a special bond and were pals. He started calling me Gary when he was 8 years old and then just Gar. Our families have stayed close in spite of our move from Howell 15 years ago. Our son, Craig and Eric were the same age and went to grammar school together. Even after we moved out of town, Eric would get together with Craig as often as possible, and whenever he did he ouwld always make a point of spending some time talking with me. I recall this past summer, I was cleaning my boat and notice someone walking down our dock. As he got closer I realized it was Eric. He climbed into the boat, gave me his signature hug and said he just wanted to say hello and see how I was doing. That was Eric - outgoing, friendly, with a heart of gold. The last few years, Eric played on a men's soccer league along with Craig. They both loved to compete. Eric was a terrific athlete with tremendous speed and endless energy. Craig would often come home after a game and tell us that Eric completely took over the game. Eric was very proud of his physique and worked hard at keeping in shape. He knew I respected his work ethic and was never shy about showing me his progress. I recall a luncheon I had with some business associates from England. I chose The Cabin on Route 33 because I knew Eric was working there and requested him as our waiter. Eric came up to the table, said hello and proceeded to immediately roll up his shirt sleeve and flex his bicep. "What do you think of that Gar? I've been working out pretty hard lately." You could imagine the reaction of my English guests. But again that was Eric. I can go on and on about experiences with Eric, Shawn and Debbie and Dennis. Funny stories and many good times but I'll end by just saying we were fortunate to know Eric. Gary was proud to coach him and was most of all, very lucky to be one of his pals. We will miss him a lot. With our love, Gary and Pat

The Levinson Family, I am deeply sorry for the loss of Eric your son, Shawn's brother, and our amazing friend. Although he will be missed every second of every day, his memory will always live on. Whenever I envision Eric, it's the same picture of Eric we all know of: that ear-to-ear smile, those wide eyes, that infectious personality. I think of our high school years together, college breaks and summers at the beach, and just hanging out with Eric, Sean Mclain and Mark Mastrokalos, and I smile. He is in a better place now and watching over us all. For that, and to be his friend, I am eternally grateful. Sincerely, Patrick
