Obituary of Julio Nelli

Julio Nelli, 85, of Howell passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  He was born and raised in Manhattan and had lived in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn before settling in Howell in 2001.  Julio worked as a foreman for Howard Marlboro Group for over 40 years.  He enjoyed sunbathing and tending to his fish tank.  Julio took pride in his appearance and loved going out to dinner.

Julio is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janice Nelli of Howell; sons, Charles Nelli and his husband, William Evers of Howell and James Nelli and his wife, Nancy of Howell; and four grandchildren, Matthew, Robert and his fiancé, Francesca, Victoria, and Steven.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM funeral service on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro.  For those who desire, donations may be made in Julio’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.  For information, directions, or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
