Claire V. Collura, 93, of Howell passed away at home on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. She was born in New Brunswick and had lived in Old Bridge before settling in Howell in 2015. Claire was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and a member of her neighborhood card club. She loved playing Scrabble and taking trips to Atlantic City with her sisters and brother.
Claire was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph S. Collura; brother, Eugene Conlon, Jr.; sister, Rita Payor; and daughter, Judith DeStefano. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Cadott of Howell; six grandchildren, Todd DeStefano, Lisa Thompson, Jill Mordy, Danielle Cadott, Matthew Cadott and Lauren Stonack; six great grandchildren, Elle Thompson, James Thompson, Colton Cadott, Tessa Cadott, Riley Cadott, and Liv Mordy; and siblings, MaryAnn Peto and Robert Conlon, both of Toms River.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 for the procession to her 10:15 AM Funeral Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 333 Route 18, Old Bridge, NJ 08857. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, Jamesburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Claire to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
