Obituary of Bridget A. Wolff

Bridget Wolff, 53, of Howell passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 from complications due to a glioblastoma, in the arms of her loving husband. She was raised in Detroit, Michigan and was the youngest of three daughters. Bridget never let labels define her. She was one of the first girls to be a Catholic altar server and delivered the Detroit News on her bike for several years. Bridget loved theatre and music and as such, persuaded anyone she could to join her and hear the latest bands at the local dive bar, Todd’s Sway Lounge. After graduating from Cass Technical High School, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wayne State University and her Masters of Arts from Columbia University. After living in New York City on her own for ten years, Bridget moved to New Jersey to become a science teacher. It was in New Jersey that she met her husband, Bill. In 2006, Bridget become a mother to Tala; the light of her life. Her love of animals drove her to become a veterinarian technician after teaching. Bridget shared this love with her family which lead to their involvement in 4H and Marine Science Camp. 

Bridget is survived by her husband, Bill Hemp of Howell; a daughter, Tala of Howell; stepson, Will Hemp of Freehold; parents, Arnold and Shirley Wolff of Detroit, MI; two sisters, Jean Wolff and Leslie LeBow and her husband, Scott; in-laws, Shirley and Bill Hemp of Manchester; sister-in-law, Sheryl Bergman; brother-in-law, John Hemp; and many nieces and nephews.
