Obituary of Mary Trushell

Mary Trushell, 88, of Freehold Township passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at The Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center, Freehold.  She was born in Brooklyn and raised in Irvington.  Mary had lived in Howell for 45 years before retiring to Florida.  She moved back to New Jersey to be with her children in Freehold in 2006.  Mary worked as a research associate for Carter-Wallace in Browns Mills prior to her retirement 26 years ago. She enjoyed gardening and loved chocolate.  Mary was a hardworking and dedicated mother.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, James Trushell in 2005; son, Ralph Trushell in 2012; and grandson, Will Rodgers in 2016.  She is survived by her sons, Patrick Trushell and his wife, Valerie of Farmingdale, James Trushell and his wife, Diane of Howell, and John Trushell and his wife, Melissa of Freehold; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren with one on the way; niece, Linda Curtis of Florida; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Fox of Delaware.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will be private. For information, directions, or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
