Susan Hedrick, 73, of Freehold passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, New Jersey. Susan was born and raised in York, Pennsylvania. She then moved to Old Bridge, New Jersey before settling in Freehold, New Jersey in 2001. Susan worked as quality engineer for over thirty years. She had worked for Mitec and Aeroflex until most recently retiring from Cobham Microelectronic Solutions, Eatontown, NJ. Susan obtained her bachelor’s degree in music from Moravian College and an additional degree in electrical engineering. Driven by her continual desire for learning, Susan pursued many artistic ventures like Origami, glass blowing, sign language, and most recently stitching and knitting. She loved reading and traveling to places like Africa, Ireland, and Israel. Her greatest love was the Lord Jesus Christ and her life was a reflection of her relationship with Him. Faith lead her to the First Presbyterian Church of Freehold where she was involved in many ministries. Susan was a loving mom and adoring Oma.
Susan is survived by her children, Tom Hedrick and his wife, Jenny of Macomb, MO and Laura Radeke and her husband, Dennis of Jackson, NJ; seven grandchildren, Peter Hedrick, Michael Hedrick, Molly Hedrick, Danielle Radeke, Nicolle Radeke, Liam Radeke, and Lindsey Radeke; a brother, Dan Folk and his wife, Cindy of York, PA; and a niece, Amanda Folk of Columbus, OH.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, 118 West Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 3:30 to 4:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 PM.
