Obituary of Joy Polon

Joy Polon, 91, of Freehold, New Jersey, passed away at Sunrise Assisted Living of Lincroft on Saturday, July 21, 2018.  She was born and raised in Piscataway and settled in Freehold for most of her life.  Joy was an LPN at CentraState Medical Center before retiring at the age of 70.

She was predeceased by her husbands, James A. Polon, Edward Mikrut, and Elmore Wiedrich. Joy is survived by her son, Gary London of Glencoe, IL; daughter, Carol Coleman of Smith Grove, KY, Jill Maguire of La Jolla, CA and Kim Lynch of Tinton Falls, NJ; four stepchildren Mark Polon of East Brunswick NJ, Richard Polon of East  Brunswick, NJ, David Polon of Piney Flats TN, Joanne Polon of New Brunswick, NJ ; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Hernandez and Frank Hernandez and two sisters, Peggy Raker and Gloria Shaeffer.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Friday, July 27, 2018.  Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
