Obituary of Michael S Mikhailik

Michael S. Mikhailik, 54, of Roebling passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, April 27, 2018.  Michael was born in New York City and raised in Howell and Sayreville.  He had lived in East Brunswick and Bordentown before moving to Roebling two years ago.  Michael had worked for the Bordentown EMS with twelve years of dedicated service.  Prior to that, he was a EMT for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton and started his career at Morgan First Aid Squad, South Amboy.  Michael was a parishioner of St. Alexander Nevsky R.O. Church, Howell.  He most recently volunteered at Hope Hose Humane Fire Company No. 1., Bordentown and the Burlington County S.P.C.A.  A lifelong volunteer, Michael was a former member of the Springfield Twp. Fire Department, Station 213 and the Derby Fire Company, District #2, Bordentown.  He had a special place in his heart for all animals, enjoyed CB and Ham Radio’s and had an affection for cars, lights, and sirens.  Michael was an adoring father, loving son, caring brother and devoted husband.

Michael was predeceased by his father, Alex Mikhailik in 1988.  He is survived by his children, Alexis Howe and her husband, Jay of Bordentown and Jake Mikhailik of Roebling; his mother, Irene Mikhailik of Manalapan; a sister, Ellen Wolf and her husband, Robert of Manalapan; his wife, Holly Mikhailik of Jupiter, FL; nephews, Tyler Wolf and Alex Wolf; and many other family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Service at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.  Interment will follow in St. Vladimir R.O. Cemetery, Jackson.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Michael may be made to the Hope Hose Humane Fire Company No. 1., 150 W. Burlington St., Bordentown, NJ 08505.
