Obituary of Rosemarie Hankins

Rosemarie C. Hankins, 71, of Manchester passed on Monday, September 17, 2012 at Fountain View Care Center, Lakewood. Rosemarie was born in Neptune, raised in Farmingdale, and had lived in Howell before settling to Manchester in 1969. She was a homemaker but had many jobs over the years, both full and part time. Rosemarie last worked as a weigh master for Clayton Sand Co., Jackson, retiring in 2000. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. Rosemarie loved to crochet. She enjoyed musical concerts, like those presented by Albert Hall in Waretown and The Bluegrass & Old Time Music Association in Little Silver. Rosemarie also was a volunteer at Albert Hall. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph T. and Yvonne (Clickner) Amalfa. Rosemarie is survived by her husband, James B. Hankins; a son, Joseph T. Hankins and his wife Carol Anne of Manchester; a daughter, Sharon R. Shaw and her husband, Steve of Brick; two grandsons, Stephen J. Hankins and his wife, Holly of Manchester and James Shaw of Brick; a granddaughter, Tabatha Fracz and her husband, Filip of Naperville, IL; four great grandchildren, Kacie, Nathan, Daniel, and Adrian; a brother, Joseph T. Amalfa and his wife, Cindy of Jackson; a brother-in-law, Roger Hankins of Freehold; her aunt, Regina "Sis" Amalfa of Freehold Twp; and her uncle, Nicholas Amalfa and his wife, Kay of Lakewood. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, September 24, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Adelphia Cemetery, Adelphia.
