Obituary of Mary Kruse

Mary "Monya" Kruse, 96, of Farmingdale passed away surrounded by her family at her daughter's home in Freehold on Saturday, September 1, 2012. Monya was born, raised, and lived in Brooklyn before moving to Farmingdale in 1950, but she always spent her summers in Manasquan. She was a member of the Farmingdale Historical Society. Monya was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and a member of St. Alexander Nevsky R.O. Church. She was a woman of wisdom with a love for many. Monya had an everlasting devotion to her family and was a beloved mommy, grandma, and granny. She was predeceased by her husband, John Kruse and three sons-in-law, James Cullen, Joseph LaCoste, and Just Floberg. Monya is survived by her three daughters, Maryann Cullen of Freehold, Patricia LaCoste of Lake Como, and Stephanie Floberg of Sandefjord, Norway and Lake Como; seven grandchildren, John Cullen and his wife, Susan, Chris Cullen and his wife, Missy, Lisa Clayton and her husband, Tim, Sarah Wilton and her husband, Brian, Erik Floberg, Katherine Floberg, and Steffen Floberg; eight great grandchildren, Amanda, Thomas, Mackenzie, Nicholas, Caitlin, Timmy, Hannah, and Hope; two sisters, Helen Steinecke of Farmingdale and June Hankel and her husband, George of Farmingdale; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 9:00 AM Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at St. Alexander Nevsky R.O. Cathedral, 200 Alexander Ave., Howell. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.
