Obituary of William Genung

William Genung, 98, of Freehold passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge, NJ. Mr. Genung was born and raised in New Brunswick and had lived in East Brunswick. He was a Cost Accountant for Triangle Conduit & Cable Company, New Brunswick. In his retirement, Mr. Genung was the oldest employee ever for Home Depot. He was the key master at the Milltown Home Depot until 2007. Mr. Genung was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary, in 1988 and a brother, Richard. Mr. Genung is survived by a son, Gary Genung and his wife, Michele, of Rotunda West, Florida; a daughter, Sharon Batiuk and her husband, John, of Freehold; five grandchildren, Gary Genung and his wife, Linda, Suzanne Lanza and her husband, Peter, Amy Tepperman and her husband, Bryan, Nicole Batiuk and Ryan Batiuk and 4 great grandchildren. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Thursday, June 30, 2011, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 1, 2011, at the funeral home.
