Obituary of Edward Bratowicz

Edward "Eddie" F. Bratowicz, 83, of Freehold Twp. passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Eddie was born and raised in Jersey City and had lived in Old Bridge before moving to Freehold Twp. in 1991. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the occupation of Japan. He was a tractor trailer driver for Cooper-Jarrett Motor Freight, Jersey City, for over 30 years. Eddie loved the sport of horse racing. He was predeceased by four brothers, William, John, Stanley and Henry. He is survived by a son, Edward Bratowicz and his fiancee, Laura Perez, of Freehold Twp.; a daughter, Linda Talbot and her fiancee, John DeSilva, of Toms River; three grandchildren, Megan Bratowicz of Freehold, Daniel Talbot and his wife, Cassandra, of Lacey Twp. and Dana Delatush and her husband, Scott, of Long Branch and three great grandsons, Bennett, Alexander and Greyson. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Thursday, June 23, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 24, 2011, at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal followed by his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Twp. Interment will be private. For those who desire, memorial contributions in memory of Eddie may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 13067, Alexandria, VA 22312.
