Obituary of Albert Nappi

Albert "Mickey" Nappi, Sr., 79, of Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Nappi was born in Matawan, had lived most of his life in Union Beach before moving to Silvermead, Freehold Township in 2002. He spent most of his career with VanPelt and Ingram Construction Company, Middletown where he worked as a mason for over forty years. Following his retirement, he was a custodian at the Memorial School in Union Beach for five years, retiring in 1999. Mr. Nappi ,known to his family as "Mickey" and/or "Ike" ,was a member of the Freehold Township Senior Citizens Club. He is survived by his wife of 51 year, Eleanor Nappi of Freehold Township; three sons and three daughters-in-law: Albert Nappi Jr., and his wife, Barbara of Middletown, John Nappi and his wife, Nancy of Aberdeen, and Ted Nappi and his wife, Nereyda of Jackson Twp.; and seven grandchildren, Danny, Connor, Hannah, Liam, Owen, Kristina and Julia Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Dr. Dan Correa officiating. Interment will follow in Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hazlet. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mickey may be made to the Cardiac Care Center, C/O CentraState Healthcare Foundation , 916 Route 33, Freehold, NJ 07728.
