Obituary of Marion Weber

Marion C. Weber, 87, of Silvermead, Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at home. Marion was born and raised in Lyndhurst, where she met her husband and soul mate of 17 years. During their short time together, they were very happy and deeply in love. They raised three children in Fair Lawn and Freehold Twp, NJ. Marion was predeceased by her husband, William Francis Weber in 1966 and also by her beloved sister, Agnete Hjort Schmidt in 2003. She is survived by two sons: William Weber of Black Earth, Wisconsin and Richard Weber and wife Donna, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts: daughter Laurie Klesitz and husband Ed, of Howell. Marion had six grandchildren: Jonas, Nick, Wyatt, Owen, Juliet and Emily and one great grandchild: Lila Alma. Her love for her grandchildren and pride in their accomplishments is eternal. Marion was faithful, and she valued community service through volunteer work. An active member in the First Presbyterian Church of Freehold for 45 years, she served as Deacon, Elder, and Circle Leader. Marion volunteered for Open Door Food Pantry and CentraState, Church World Service and Covenhoven House. She was a founding member and Historian for Molly Pitcher Woman's Club, Cub Scout Den mother, and Rebel booster. An Opera lover, the tenors lived in her heart. Known for her smile, Marion was loved by everyone lucky enough to meet her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at the First Presbyterian Church, 118 West Main Street, Freehold on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
