Obituary of Mary Shwahla

Mary A. Shwahla, 87, of Howell passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at home. Mrs. Shwahla was born in Bayonne and was a life-long Howell resident. Mary retired as a Traffic Manager at Earle Naval Station in 1974. Along with her family, she co-owned and operated the Shwahla Blueberry Farm. Mary was a parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River, NJ. She was predeceased by a brother, Steve Shwahla. Mary is survived by her brother, Paul Shwahla, of Howell; a nephew, Gary Shwahla and his wife, Shay, and their children, Gavin and Sara, of Pt. Pleasant Beach and a niece, Laura Shwahla of Hamilton. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Friday, November 20, 2009, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM with Pannyhida at 8:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:30 AM funeral service on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, 76 Whitehead Avenue, South River, NJ.
