Obituary of Carmela Casaceli

Carmela Casaceli, 80, of Jackson, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. She was born, raised, and had lived in Brooklyn. Carmela moved to Howell Township before settling to Jackson in 2010. She retired in 2006 as a customer service representative at JC Penny's in the Freehold Mall and had worked there since the Mall opened in 1990. Carmela was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Freehold and a former member of the Red Hat Society. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake. Carmela was predeceased by her husband Felix Casaceli; two sons, Joseph Casaceli and Louis Casaceli; one brother; and three sisters. She is survived by her two sons, Philip Casaceli and his wife, Annmarie of Howell, Daniel James Casaceli and his wife, Michelle of South River; two daughters-in-law, Susan Casaceli of Pennsylvania and Susan Casaceli of Florida; 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth Nickles and her husband, Bill, Sara Pullen and her husband, Adam, Stephen Casaceli and his wife, Nicole, Andrew Casaceli, Gabrielle Casaceli, Genevieve Casaceli, Louis Casaceli Jr., and his wife, Stephanie, Adam Casaceli, Laura Casaceli, Madelyn Casaceli; eight great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Crivelli and her husband, Tony of Howell; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township, on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Friday, March 3, 2017. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lakewood.
