Obituary of David Green
David Harold Green, 89, of Farmingdale, NJ died on Monday, March 9, 2009 at Meadowlands Hospital, Secaucus, NJ. Mr. Green was born in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn and had lived in Perrineville before moving to Farmingdale 68 years ago. David was the owner of Stephan L. Green Trailers and Greens Egg Farm (the oldest Poultry farm in New Jersey), both of Farmingdale since 1938. He believed in using a square and a level doing things the right way. David believed in the honor system, just a handshake and doing the job.
He is predeceased by his wife, Florence in 1992. Survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Stephan L. and Karen Green of Jackson, NJ, Allen Irving Green of Farmingdale, NJ; two grandchildren, Jason Schafer of Jackson, NJ, Danielle Schafer of Jackson, NJ; one sister, Thelma Silver of Tinton Falls, NJ.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rabbi Michael Klein, officiating.
